Flooring
It was a hard call, but we had much of our original parquet floor (made by previous owner from strips of wood imported from Bolivia) taken up. We kept the original floor in our living room (and we have boxes full of the old parquet). For the dining room, kitchen, mudroom and entry hall, we decided to switch to Aquaguard laminate flooring. We're rough on floors and figured it would be easier to maintain, plus my beer-brewing husband wanted a floor he could get wet. Part of the floor was installed today. Here's how it looks.
